About Flip Over Chess

I'm Brian Miller and I created Flip Over Chess. I'm a graphic designer, photographer, author and small business owner. But most importantly, I'm a dad to two amazing and smart little girls. Both of my daughters expressed an interest in the game of chess at very young ages. We enjoy playing together on a chess set that we have in the house, but I struggled to teach them the rules. That's why I designed Flip Over Chess.

Flip Over Chess introduces the game of chess to beginners one step at a time. The first step is simply to learn the movements of each piece on the board. Simply tap the screen and move the piece that flips up — it's that simple. Once a player gets aquainted with the basic moves of a piece, they graduate to Flip III, a game that gives three pieces to move per tern. This gets players involved in applying the strategy behind selecting the right piece to move.
